Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join CenterWell Senior Primary Care on site. You will handle administrative tasks alongside patient care, from vital signs to vaccines, under the supervision of the Central Administration.

The role involves collaboration with physicians, phlebotomy, and EMR documentation, with a 40-hour workweek. Qualification includes Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, bilingual in English/Spanish, a high school diploma, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish – must pass proficiency exam.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical responsibilities including discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the EMR system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of active certification.
• Follow department policies while prioritizing work tasks.
