Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to support clinical operations and team performance. The role includes conducting evaluations and mentoring staff, while providing clinical assistance to providers as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a post-training MA program, IDX and Epic experience, and a strong commitment to patient service, confidentiality and safety, with willingness to travel among clinical locations.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Cooper IDX training program including Registration, Scheduling, E-Commerce and FSC.
• Annual eligibility certification required.
• Mentor and role model and display Cooper's Core Values.
• Ability to provide on-site training.
• Excellent customer service and strong interpersonal/communication with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; good typing and computer skills.
• Must have reliable transportation and travel to clinical locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a supervisor to clinical staff, preparing evaluations and providing input on performance.
• Administers evaluations and brings disciplinary items to the manager.
• Provides medical assistant support to providers when staffing is needed.
