Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to supervise and mentor clinical staff in a fast-paced outpatient clinic in Dublin, OH.

You will model high standards of patient care, ensure efficient workflow, and partner with management on scheduling, training, and performance improvement. Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations, guiding staff through procedures, addressing patient concerns, and serving as a clinical preceptor to elevate skills

Qualifications

• Certification and 2 years OSUP tenure with one year in a Senior role (internal candidates)
• 2 years tenure with OSUP with one year in a Senior role OR 7 years MA experience
• Preference for Current BLS Certification, EMR experience, and Medical Assistant Certification

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day work and productivity of patient care staff.
• Advise and assist staff on patient/customer concerns and clinic operations.
• Perform specialized medical procedures of a routine nature per established protocol.
• Serve as clinical preceptor to enhance training and skill development among staff.
• Assist management with scheduling, daily work assignments, hiring, training, employee engagement, and performance management.
