Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to drive day-to-day clinic operations and support management in delivering high-quality patient care at our outpatient sites in Ohio.

You will supervise medical assistants, model clinical procedures, and mentor staff while maintaining compassionate, efficient patient flows. Qualified candidates bring 7+ years MA experience, CMA certification, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certification and 2 years of tenure with OSUP, with at least one year in a Senior role, or 2 years tenure with OSUP with one year in a Senior role.
• Minimum of 7 years of Medical Assistant experience, internal or external.
• Preference for BLS Certification, EMR experience, and Medical Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day work and productivity of patient care staff.
• Advise and assist staff on solving patient/customer concerns and clinic operations issues.
• Perform specialized medical procedures as dictated by clinical protocol.
• Act as clinical preceptor to improve staff skills and training.
• Support management with scheduling, training, engagement, and performance management.
