Job summary

TrueCare in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to supervise clinic staff, ensure smooth workflow, and support a licensed care practitioner. This role blends clinical and administrative tasks.

You will back up Vaccine Coordinator, train new staff, and cover other clinics as needed. Must have MA program graduate, 3 years MA experience, EHR experience, and be willing to rotate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Three or more years of Medical Assistant experience.
• One year of experience with documentation in an EHR system.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, lab procedures, and clinic workflow.
• Must be willing to drive to cover another clinic in San Marcos and have a valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and delegate roles of clinic Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists.
• Ensure clinical floor flows smoothly and supervise administrative tasks.
• Act as advocate for Medical Assistants regarding responsibilities and workflow improvements.
• Serve as backup to Vaccine Coordinator and assist in training staff.
