Job summary

Neighborcare Health seeks a Lead Medical Assistant to oversee front/back office workflow in our Seattle clinic. The role blends clinical support with team leadership, ensuring smooth patient throughput and high-quality care. You will guide staff, support providers, and uphold regulatory and patient safety standards.

The Lead MA performs delegated clinical tasks, assists in training, and helps manage clinic operations, scheduling, and supplies to deliver excellent patient experiences daily.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A current Washington State Dept. of Health Medical Assistant, Certification or Medical Assistant, Interim
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Back Office or Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory clinic experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties and responsibilities with excellence, enthusiasm, great service orientation demonstrating courteous behaviors and mannerisms, and by anticipating medical provider's needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and readily assist other staff members.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environments for patients, self and others.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms for use by medical providers by cleaning, stocking and arranging supplies, equipment and instruments.
  • Completes pre-visit planning ensuring care gaps and necessary follow-up items are identified prior to the visit and conduct huddles with providers to prepare for the day.
  • Greets and escorts patients to examination or treatment room in a respectful, warm and caring manner.
