Job summary

Palomar Health Medical Group is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant in California. Qualifications

Successful completion of Medical Assistant Certificate program.
Minimum 2 years medical assistant experience.
Bilingual - Spanish preferred.
Valid CA State Phlebotomy License (CPT) preferred.
Certified CA State Medical Assistant and American Heart Association BLS - Heartsaver.

Responsibilities

Provide support for the medical assistant team and clinic staff.
Assist in intake and setup for patient visits.
Train and mentor new staff; coordinate performance reviews.
Oversee dispensary logs, inventory, and supply stock.
Assist with scheduling, referrals, and patient follow-ups.
Perform administrative tasks and quality assurance activities.
Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and Palomar Health standards.
Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives using PDSA methods.
