Job summary

Affinity Health Center is seeking a Lead Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support. The Lead CMA will perform periodic chart audits, train and develop medical assistants, and support workflow to ensure efficient, high-quality care aligned with Patient Centered Care Principles.

The role involves working collaboratively to support primary care quality metrics, covering multiple providers as needed, and upholding infection control standards in accordance with OSHA

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in a medical office preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Certified Medical Assistant required. Acceptable certifications: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA.

Affinity Health Center is seeking a Lead Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support. In addition to patient care, the Lead Certified Medical Assistant performs periodic chart audits to ensure accuracy and quality; responsible for training and ongoing development of the medical assistants; supports flow management to ensure efficiency, quality care, compliance, and utilization of Patient Centered Care Principles; works collaboratively to support AHCs primary care quality metrics; floats between providers to ensure adequate coverage; supports infection control and compliance with OSHA and AAAHC standards. Lead Certified Medical Assistant is a role model for the medical assistant staff and an advocate for the mission, vision, and values of Affinity Health Center.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification required

• CMA from the Certification Alliance of Health Care Professionals
• RMA from the American Medical Technologists
