Job summary

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is hiring a full-time Lead Medical Assistant for our Paoli, PA office. This role includes leading the Medical Assistant team, performing EKGs, taking vitals, updating EMR, and coordinating department workflows.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified or registered Medical Assistant.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Familiar with cardiology procedures (stress tests, Coumadin, Holter monitoring).
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms, take vitals, and update EMR.
• Perform EKGs and manage prescription refill voicemail.
• Make patient calls to confirm appointments and report test results.
• Assist with stress testing, Holter monitoring, and other testing as directed.
• Lead MA responsibilities and help hire/train staff.
• Coordinate day-to-day workflows and schedules.
• Ensure adherence to department policies.

Job description

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is a professional medical organization committed to the healing mission of Medicine. CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia area. We are currently hiring for a full-time Lead Medical Assistant to work at our Paoli, PA office.

Please note that this position is entitled to a $500.00 sign on bonus.*

Responsibilities

• Places patients in exam rooms, takes vital signs & basic health history, updates EMR
• Performs EKG's
• Works the prescription refill voicemail line.
• Makes patient phone calls to confirm appointments, reports all testing results, answers basic and more complex healthcare questions.
• Also may perform stress testing, holter monitoring, ambucor, warfarin monitoring, as well as other testing. Note: under the guidance and discretion of the individual physician.
• Performs most, if not all, level III MA responsibilities
• Assist in hiring, training and reviewing performance of staff
• Coordinate day to day workflows of department
• Develop and oversee department schedules
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a certified or registered Medical Assistant
• BLS required
• Must have at least 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Must be familiar with various cardiology related procedures such as: stress tests, managing Coumadin therapy, Holter monitors, etc.
• Must have the ability to multitask
• Computer knowledge is a must
• Experience with an EMR system is a plus
• Must be well spoken, friendly, and outgoing

*If you are hired, and assuming your employment is in good standing, you will receive the sign-on bonus. The bonus will be paid to you no later than 30 days following your start date. In the event that you voluntarily terminate your employment or the Company terminates your employment for cause within 6 months of your date of hire, you will be required to repay the full amount of your sign-on bonus.
