Job summary

Compass Senior Living is seeking a Lead Medication Technician in Shawnee, Oklahoma to lead the medication delivery process, supervise the medication room and cart, and drive Growth and Wellness plans per resident preferences. You will mentor Care Partners, assist with self-administration, and participate in interviewing and onboarding new staff.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance with state regulations, and collaboration with the Administrator and RCC to ensure safe medication practices

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate compassion for elderly residents.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who speak English.

Responsibilities

• Lead Care Partners on shift as a role model of kindness, accountability, and collaboration.
• Pass medication and assist with self-administration as required by state law.
• Participate in interviewing new Care Partners and Med Techs as needed.
• Provide orientation for new Care Partners and Med Techs.
• Conduct training and retraining of staff as required by state regulations.
• Coach team members to excel in collaboration with the Administrator.
• Coordinate scheduling with RCC and Administrator.
• Supervise storage, distribution, and discontinuation of residents’ medication.
• Maintain compliance with Compass Senior Living policies and procedures.
