Job summary

Vardaspace is seeking a Principal Mechanisms Engineer to lead the development of complex electromechanical flight hardware for space. You will work on pharmaceutical manufacturing and hypersonic reentry missions, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in hardware design, and the ability to mentor engineering teams. You will play a crucial role in shaping payload architecture, guiding projects from concept to delivery, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting electromechanical hardware.
• Deep mechanical expertise with breadth in at least two adjacent disciplines.
• Experience communicating with diverse technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, requirements, and development plans for multi-payload systems.
• Lead complex mechanism and electromechanical subsystem design efforts.
• Drive system-level analyses and trade studies.
