Job summary

Vardaspace is looking for a Principal Payloads Manufacturing Engineer to oversee manufacturing and integration processes of mission-critical payload systems for reentry capsules. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in the aerospace or biomedical fields, ensuring that all payloads are built to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities include developing detailed instructions, conducting acceptance testing, and collaborating with engineers and customers. Benefits include a competitive salary range of $181,913–$232,444 and a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing or integrating payload systems.
• Experience building precision hardware to tight tolerances.
• Strong familiarity with contamination control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing and assembly processes for payload systems.
• Develop work instructions and acceptance test procedures.
• Interface with customers to translate requirements into production.

Skills

Manufacturing and integrating complex assemblies

Experience in aerospace or biomedical environments

Ability to read engineering drawings

Strong communication skills

Ability to lift 25 lbs

Education

B.S. in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering

M.S. in Mechanical Engineering preferred
