Lear Corporation is seeking a Product Engineer - Mechanism in Southfield, MI, to lead the design and development of seat mechanisms for a new automotive program. This role is on-site with the seat system provider in Southfield, MI.

You will drive concept-to-launch design, ensure compliance with vehicle requirements, and collaborate with global teams on new product designs and issue resolution. A strong background in mechanisms, DFx principles, and GD&T is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years' experience with automotive safety mechanisms in lead role (recliners/seat latches preferred).
• Strong understanding of mechanisms, motion, and kinematics.
• Experience with mechanical design tools and analysis for mechanism development.

Aufgaben

• Lead design, development, and engineering activities for seat mechanisms from concept to launch.
• Ensure mechanism designs meet vehicle attributes, regulations, and program targets.
• Collaborate with structures and seat teams to integrate mechanisms into seats.
• Provide product support for existing mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Global Mechanism teams on new product designs and issue resolution.
