GE Aerospace, Evendale/Lynn, seeks an XBAT Mechanical Systems Design Advanced Lead Engineer to drive lubrication system design and integration for the F110 engine in the XBAT program. You will lead conception, analysis, and validation across design, testing, and customer interfaces.

You will mentor engineers, develop drawings, and verification plans, collaborating with systems, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver hardware on time. Relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in lubrication system and component design and analysis in aerospace, power generation, or related high-tech industry.

Responsabilités

• Lead conceptualization, design, analysis, and validation of lubrication system components/hardware to support engine operation across the full flight envelope, including vertical operating conditions.
• Develop and release component drawings ensuring configuration control, producibility, and integration requirements.
• Apply advanced engineering principles and simulation tools to optimize performance, weight, durability, and cost while meeting airworthiness standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers; foster cross-functional collaboration and design rigor.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, supply chain, test, and integration teams to ensure timely development, delivery, and installation of hardware.
• Develop verification and validation plans, including rig and engine testing, instrumentation, data analysis, and reports.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks across the lifecycle, including oil management in non-traditional orientations and system reliability.
• Present designs and results to stakeholders and regulatory representatives as required.
