Job summary

GE Aerospace in Evendale, OH, seeks an XBAT AVEN Mechanical Design Staff Engineer to lead the design and development of the axisymmetric vectoring exhaust nozzle module for the F110 engine. You will own hardware sub-systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive design verification, drawings, and testing plans.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, 8+ years of design/analysis experience, CAD/FEA proficiency (NX/ANSYS), and knowledge of manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's/PhD preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in mechanical design and analysis.
• Experience with CAD/FEA and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of AVEN module components.
• Perform FEA for stress, thermal, vibration, fatigue.
• Issue drawings with product definition teams.
• Design verification and validation planning.
• Collaborate with electrical, materials, manufacturing, PMs.
• Present design reviews and reports.
