Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an AVEN Mechanical Design Staff Engineer to lead the design, procurement, and development of vectoring nozzle components for the F110 engine in the XBAT program. You will own hardware sub-modules and coordinate with internal and external engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities include leading cross‑functional teams, performing advanced FEA for stress and thermal analysis, and ensuring manufacturability while delivering design reviews and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional teams in mechanical design and development of complex components and sub-systems.
• Perform advanced engineering analysis including FEA for stress, thermal, vibration and fatigue.
• Issue drawings, develop verification plans, and present design reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to integrate designs into larger systems.
