Job summary

Boyd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead mechanical design and project management for liquid cooling systems used in data centers. You will collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to drive concept to production, selecting components, drafting schematics, and guiding new product development with a focus on performance, cost, and schedule.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience in cooling and pumping systems, proven leadership, and the ability to interface

Qualifications

  • B.S.M.E. required or equivalent with substantial applicable experience.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience designing mechanical pumping systems.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience designing cooling systems with heat exchangers and fans (data centers preferred).
  • 3+ years leading new product development teams.
  • Experience with temperature, pressure, flow sensors.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with design team and customers to define product specs and trade-offs.
  • Design mechanical pumping and cooling systems, including components and sensors.
  • Create mechanical schematics and product BOMs for electrical portions.
  • Lead product development teams and manage schedules and risk.
  • Develop test plans and report engineering results.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
