Job summary

Boyd Corporation in Billerica, MA is seeking a Test Engineer - Systems to support our liquid‑to‑liquid and ambient cooling systems and chiller products used in data centers, semiconductor and medical equipment markets. The role demands a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and excellent communication to troubleshoot on the factory floor and develop automated test solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in electro‑mechanical or electrical engineering with 7–10 years of hands‑on experience,

Qualifications

BS in electro-mechanical or electrical engineering; 7–10 years hands-on experience.
Knowledge of electrical safety codes and standards.
Experience with instrumentation and test setup.
Proficiency in programming/scripting; familiarity with testing frameworks.
Experience with Visual Basic, PLCs, and PID temperature controllers.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Daily systems production support; troubleshoot electrical and controls problems on the floor.
Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical test fixtures for testing production systems and boxes.
Develop ATPs based on product testing requirements (QTP).
Design and build automated/semi-automated test and processing equipment.
Develop and maintain automated test data capture for defect tracking and yield reporting.
Support qualification and reliability tests including test design, instrumentation, setup and execution.
Assist in development of training aids for production.
