Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a senior lead designer in Pasadena to supervise a design team and deliver complete mechanical and piping projects on time and within budget. The role requires extensive experience and acts as a technical specialist for complex assignments, with on-site startup support.

You will mentor designers, coordinate with other discipline leads, and contribute to training and professional development within the staff.

Qualifications

• Requires 15+ years of relevant mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.
• Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
• SPED Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction to a team of designers.
• Deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff and coordinate with discipline leads.
• Perform on-site startup support and develop installation specifications.
• Estimate construction quantities and prepare cost estimates.
