Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to lead mechanical installation projects across North America. You will oversee installation crews, coordinate work, and ensure safety and quality workmanship to deliver projects on time and budget.

This hands-on leadership role requires planning, mentoring, coordinating with project management, and lifting heavy loads up to 50 lbs on diverse site conditions. Travel 100% to US customer sites; OSHA 30 required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 2–5 years installing/maintaining conveyor or material handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel 100% to US customer sites; valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 30 certification to be obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned mechanical installation tasks safely and efficiently as advised by site supervision.
• Conveyor layouts and pre-assembly: plan layouts, verify fit, and pre-assemble sections for on-site efficiency.
• Header steel, platform, and structural steel installation: lead installation of structural elements to ensure proper alignment.
• Take personal responsibility for your safety and the safety of others on-site.
• Conveyor installation, guardrail, and rack systems: install conveyors, guardrails, and racking with attention to alignment and integrity.
• Equipment detailing and run-in activities: perform detailed installation tasks, validate assemblies, and run-in tests before commissioning.
• Provide mentorship, basic training, and support to less experienced personnel.
• Physically handle jobsite demands, including lifting at least 50 lbs, and moving across large sites.
