Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to lead installation projects across North America. You will oversee installation crews, plan layouts, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with project management to deliver on-time, on-budget mechanical system installations.

Travel to customer sites across the United States is required, with hands-on leadership, mentorship, and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical assemblies in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in installing/maintaining conveyor or material handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel 100% to US customer sites using personal vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license; OSHA 30 certification to be obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned mechanical installation tasks safely and efficiently as advised by site supervision.
• Conveyor system layout and pre-assembly: plan layouts, verify fit, and pre-assemble sections for on-site installation.
• Lead installation of header steel, platforms, and structural steel; ensure secure, accurate installations.
• Provide mentorship and basic training to less experienced personnel.
• Physically handle jobsite demands including lifting at least 50 lbs and moving across construction sites.
