Job summary

Moxtek is seeking an experienced design engineer to drive the development of innovative X-ray sources and related electromechanical systems. You will collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical Engineers, and Scientists to move concepts from design to production release, performing modelling, prototyping, testing, and documentation.

In this hands-on role, you will own critical deliverables, conduct FMEAs, validate designs, and work across functions to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science and/or technical discipline with ≥5 years of engineering experience.
• Master’s degree with ≥2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through requirement gathering, concept generation, FMEA, design reviews and continuous improvement.
• Design and develop new X-Ray products using 3D modeling (SolidWorks), simulation and experimentation.
• Drive Mechanical Sources Development and identify commercially available technologies aligned with Safety, Quality and Productivity requirements.
• Implement best practice engineering methods and champion systems with the team.
• Provide technical leadership on project teams and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
• Evaluate input for complex engineering/manufacturing challenges using FMEA, DOE, Gage R&R and related disciplines.
• Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, IT, Quality and Business Development to maintain safety, quality, delivery and efficiency of X-ray source products.
• Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, dashboards and research findings to senior leadership.
• Drive knowledge through documentation of engineering processes and transfer to production teams.
• Conduct research of high voltage fields as applied to high vacuum devices and high voltage power supplies.
