Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer for heavy industrial steel operations. You will troubleshoot, design, and improve mechanical systems on large equipment, lead capital projects, and collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to boost uptime and safety.

You’ll work on melting equipment, furnaces, baghouses, and environmental systems, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in steelmaking or heavy industry.
Experience with steelmaking equipment, furnaces, or melting equipment.
Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations.
Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize mechanical and hydraulic systems across the facility.
Lead reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency.
Support and manage melting and steelmaking equipment, including upgrades and troubleshooting.
Provide engineering expertise for baghouse and environmental systems, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Lead capital and facility improvement projects from concept through installation and completion.
Develop project scopes, specifications, bid packages, cost estimates, and schedules.
