RTX in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Principal Engineer to advance space & airborne power and digital systems. You will design circuit card assemblies and units for power/control in missiles and launchers, focusing on manufacturability, assembly, test, and cost.

You will mentor teams, lead design reviews, and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and program management while travel up to ~25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in electronics packaging design, integration, and production support.
• Participation in design reviews and trade studies to support informed decisions.
• Mentorship and guidance of less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions across the product lifecycle for missiles and related electronics.
• Perform mechanical analysis to ensure form, fit, and function.
• Support component design reviews and coordinate with customers and suppliers.
• Lead and mentor engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
