Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Space & Airborne Power & Digital Department, supporting analog mechanism control designs for circuit card assemblies and units. You will emphasize design for manufacturing, assembly, test, and cost considerations.

You will lead a mechanical engineering team, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor junior engineers while traveling up to 25% as needed on program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics related field and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Eight years of experience in Electronics packaging design, integration, and production support.
• Experience using CREO CAD design and documentation tools or similar 3D solid modeling software with a configuration and data management environment.
• Systems engineering thought process with analytical skills background.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative technical solutions across the entire product lifecycle for missiles and launchers and related electronics.
• Perform mechanical design analyses to ensure form, fit, and function as intended.
• Support component level design and test reviews.
• Mentor and guide engineers, collaborating with management and customers.
