Job summary

F5, based in Spokane Valley, WA, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support design, development, and testing of rack-mounted network equipment. You will design sheet metal and injection molded parts, and perform thermal and structural analyses to support the product.

Responsibilities include CAD with SolidWorks, component evaluation, prototype support, and generating test reports. The role requires a BSME/MSME, CAD experience, and strong communication within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BSME or MSME from an accredited university.
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD and simulation software.
• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Ability to understand and design mechanical assemblies in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with basic shop tools.
• Willingness to take initiative, is self-motivated, and grow in responsibility.
• Has good verbal and written communication skills.
• Competence with Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work with and clearly communicate with an interdisciplinary team of engineers and lab technicians.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal and injection molded parts for rack-mounted equipment.
• Use SolidWorks CSWP for mechanical CAD.
• Perform thermal and structural analysis and reporting.
• Review engineering drawings and release the Bills of Materials.
• Support prototype builds and evaluate design changes.
• Contribute to design reviews and adhere to project schedules.
