Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to support design, development, and testing of rack-mounted network equipment. You will design sheet metal parts, injection molded components, and perform thermal/structural analyses, reports, and design reviews.

Office-based in Spokane Valley, WA with SolidWorks CAD emphasis. BSME/MSME required; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• BSME or MSME from an accredited university.
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD and simulation software.
• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Ability to design mechanical assemblies in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with basic shop tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and testing of rack mounted network equipment.
• Design sheet metal and injection molded parts and perform thermal/structural analyses.
• Create and release BOMs and Engineering Change Orders.
• Review engineering drawings and prepare testing reports.
• Support prototype builds and evaluate design changes.
• Conduct design reviews and adhere to schedules.
