Qualifications

• Experience designing server appliances and chassis for enterprise or OCP rack environments.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and CSWP or equivalent certifications.
• Extensive design experience with sheet metal, injection molding, castings, machined parts, and related components.
• Mechanical layout of PCB/PCA assemblies.
• Ability to select and evaluate components such as fans, heat sinks, connectors, and hardware.
• Advanced simulation and analysis for thermal and structural performance.
• Ability to generate testing, tolerance, and fit reports.
• Hands-on prototype build and evaluation support.
• Capability to review and check engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and testing of rack-mounted network equipment.
• Design sheet metal and injection-molded parts.
• Perform thermal and structural analysis and prepare supporting reports.
• Support prototype builds and evaluate design changes.
• Review and check engineering drawings.
• Create and release Bills of Materials.
• Prepare and release Engineering Change Orders and Deviations.
• Conduct design reviews using PowerPoint, Excel, or similar tools.
• Adhere to project schedules.
• Support cross-functional team meetings.
