Job summary

Techtronic Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Advanced Engineering team. You will lead feasibility studies, validate performance, and drive risk reduction while maturing complex mechanical systems for next‑generation power tools.

Responsibilities include turning concepts into robust designs, building prototypes, and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability and successful product launches.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and GD&T
• Experience building prototypes and defining acceptance criteria
• Experience with mechanisms, gear design, structures, materials and manufacturing processes
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving and hands-on attitude

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical feasibility, performance validation, and risk reduction for advanced projects
• Develop and evaluate mechanisms, structures, and integrated systems using analysis and physical testing
• Translate early concepts into mature designs for product development
• Build, test, and iterate functional prototypes to validate durability and manufacturability
• Determine system requirements, operation methods, and design trade-offs
• Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Design and cross-functional teams
• Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
