Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Rosenberg, TX is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Lead with design for product development experience to guide mechanical design for FW Murphy Production Controls products.

You will lead a mechanical design and drafting team, create and maintain detailed SolidWorks models, perform tolerance analyses, and apply DFM/ DFA to improve manufacturability while collaborating with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years in mechanical engineering and design for product development
• Strong CAD skills, especially SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturing principles
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for FW Murphy production controls
• Create and maintain detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks
• Lead development of throttle control components and engine-related mechanical systems
• Conduct mechanical analysis including tolerance stack-ups and design validation
• Provide technical direction to design drafters and lead design reviews
