Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead for FW Murphy Production Controls at our Rosenberg, TX facility, with potential placement in San Antonio, TX for the right candidate. You will design, develop, and improve mechanical systems for industrial monitoring and control solutions.

The role emphasizes mechanical design leadership, 3D modeling in SolidWorks, GD&T, and DFM/ DFA principles within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical engineering and design for product development.
• Strong proficiency with CAD software, especially SolidWorks.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for FW Murphy’s industrial monitoring and control products.
• Create and maintain detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
• Lead development and improvement of throttle control components and other engine-related mechanical systems.
• Conduct mechanical analysis including tolerance stack-ups, stress analysis, and design validation.
• Provide technical direction to product design drafters and lead design reviews.
