Qualifications

• Must have ABET-accredited degree in engineering with strong thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, machine design, or thermal systems.
• 12+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, ideally in a nuclear environment.
• Experience designing piping, pressure vessels, HVAC, and radioactive material handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design engineering efforts on a multi-discipline project design team.
• Prepare and review complex calculations, equipment designs, and design inputs.
• Prepare equipment specifications and vendor communications.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and work plans; monitor progress.
• Interface with customers in project meetings and mentor junior engineers.
