Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer for the Arthur Gold Project in Nevada. You will provide technical leadership across study, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of heavy fixed-plant mineral processing systems.

Role involves governance of mechanical design and field execution, coordinating with EPCM contractors and vendors, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety codes. Nevada-based with hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Active PE license or eligibility for Nevada reciprocity.
• 10+ years in large-scale mining or capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design criteria, specs, calculations, and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ASME/ANSI/API/OSHA/MSHA codes.
• Oversee equipment selection and field execution during construction.
• Lead technical bid evaluations and FAT coordination.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams for safe handover.
