Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America Inc. seeks a Specialist, Mine Engineer – Arthur Gold Project to lead mine planning, scheduling, and design across Nevada operations.

You will optimize open-pit sequences, haul routes, and waste storage while aligning with safety, regulatory, and economic goals. The role partners with Geotechnical, Hydrogeology, Process, and Operations teams to ensure smooth transitions from feasibility to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or closely related field.
• Active PE license or progress toward licensure preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years progressive mine engineering experience in open-pit mining or large-scale civil earthworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize life-of-mine schedules and short-range plans.
• Deliver detailed pit, ramp and waste dump designs with safe slope stability.
• Design and optimize drill-and-blast patterns and wall-control blasting protocols.
• Perform production reconciliation and fleet analytics to identify variances.
• Collaborate with Geotechnical and Hydrogeology teams on integration into designs.
• Support contractor management, scope of work development, and startup readiness.
