Job summary

PAR Systems is seeking an early career Mechanical Engineer to join our design team. You will apply CAD and simulation tools to create mechanical and electromechanical solutions for industrial manufacturing customers, from conceptualization through detailed design.

In this role you will develop automation designs from customer specs, evaluate hardware options to improve cost and reliability, and participate in design reviews and drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Proficient CAD and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with static and dynamic stress analysis or FEA.
• Fundamental knowledge of engineering materials.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience from internships or employment in machine design or automated manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical automation designs from customer specifications.
• Research commercially available hardware components to improve reliability and reduce cost.
• Participate in customer design reviews.
• Produce detailed design drawings for procurement, fabrication and assembly.
• Support team of mechanical, controls, and software engineers through design, integration and testing.
• Assist fabrication and installation to ensure conformance to specs.
• Provide on-site integration, testing, and field service when needed (some travel).
