Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER Sector Integration division seeks a hands-on Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive the full mechanical design cycle for EDLC modules and internal components in Pleasanton, CA. You will own requirements, concept, DFx, prototype builds, and mass production transfer, collaborating with global teams and suppliers.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical design, experience with high-voltage packaging, and familiarity with manufacturing processes for energy storage systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in mechanical engineering with product development or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to own full mechanical design cycle from concept to mass production.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on mechanical design and development of EDLC modules and internal components.
  • Own the full mechanical product development cycle and transition to mass production.
  • Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and release documentation (SolidWorks, PLM).
  • Design module-level mechanical components and wiring harnesses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers; support HV/VHV integration and packaging.
