Job summary

Lead Mechanical Engineer at Eaton's Power Electronics and Battery Center of Excellence will integrate mechanical and electrical components into structured 3D CAD assemblies and apply FEA to ensure designs meet requirements. Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in integrating mechanical and electrical components.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD assemblies and FEA tools.
  • Experience with 3D CAD like SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

  • Leads mechanical design and development activities for assigned projects.
  • Performs mechanical design (3D CAD modeling, FEA) of components and assemblies.
  • Develops technical requirements and identifies components.
  • Creates technical reports and presentations.
  • Performs engineering analysis to define critical design parameters.
  • Conducts prototyping and measurements in lab environments.
  • Collaborates with electrical engineers and technicians to validate designs.
  • Evaluates designs for performance, size, cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
