HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Building Engineering Services group in Chicago, IL.

You will lead mechanical design efforts, produce drawings, calculations and specifications, and mentor staff within a multidisciplinary team. You will collaborate with BES leadership, engage with clients and the engineering community, participate in marketing and project planning, and help ensure project success from concept through documentation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required/recognized by the state licensing board.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated leadership, team coordination and project management experience.
• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering firm and alignment with an employee-owned culture.

Responsabilidades

• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design and production meetings.
• Lead mechanical design on projects and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.
• Coordinate reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Perform schematic, design development and CD work sessions at project sites.
• Manage workload and ensure documents are produced on schedule.
• Track project finances and coordinate team efforts within budget and schedule.
• Engage with clients and HDR leadership to build strong relationships.
