Job summary

The role requires strong communication, CAD skills (SolidWorks/DraftSight), and ability to lead design efforts across product lines. On-site work with travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Degree in Design/Drafting or Equivalent Experience
• Associates Degree + 15 years of related design experience or BS in Engineering + 12 years design experience
• Understanding of ASME Y14.5 Design and drafting standards

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documentation, including SolidWorks modeling, fabrication, and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards
• Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer product knowledge to operations
• Develop BOM selection logic that drives auto-generated Item and BOM creation
• Lead or participate in special team projects
• Provide guidance to junior Designers and train others
