Job summary

Carter Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic Technician Lead at our Dulles, VA location. This role leads service assignments, provides technical guidance, and ensures safety, quality, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced shop environment.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with heavy construction equipment, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to lead teams, troubleshoot effectively, and document work clearly. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience with heavy construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and expert level troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to lead and motivate employees.
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to occasionally operate heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress of jobs to keep on schedule and maintain orderly flow of work.
• Provide oversight and guidance to technicians on daily workloads and maintenance priorities.
• Perform regular maintenance and emergency troubleshooting repairs.
• Must be able to work shifts as needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends to meet customer needs.
