Job summary

NexTier is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform essential functions, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, and oversee maintenance programs at our Marshall, Texas facility. You will ensure DOT compliance, manage maintenance orders in SAP, and mentor junior mechanics to uphold safety and reliability standards.

The role requires strong English communication, hands-on expertise across engines, electrical, HVAC, and cryogenics systems, and the ability to coordinate resources and safety

Qualifications

• Experience identifying, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment including engines, electrical, HVAC, suspension, transmission, brakes, hydraulics and cryogenics.
• Ability to supervise maintenance operations on all equipment and coordinate resources.
• Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities for entry and mid-level mechanics.
• Facilitation of HSE meetings and safety training sessions.
• Experience creating maintenance orders using SAP NetWeaver or SAP Fiori systems.
• Ability to review and retain proper maintenance records and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanic functions and complete required tasks.
• Assist with equipment function checks at the facility.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures across multiple systems.
• Conduct complex repairs and oversee maintenance as needed.
• Ensure DOT compliance through certification and inspection processes.
• Plan and execute maintenance programs effectively.
• Inspect and approve completed repairs for production readiness.
• Create and manage maintenance orders in SAP systems.
• Mentor and coach junior mechanics during repairs.
• Lead safety meetings and address hazards with regional teams.
