Job summary

NexTier in Oklahoma is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform essential maintenance and diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and cryogenic systems on NexTier equipment.

The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to conduct safety and compliance activities, plan maintenance programs, and mentor junior mechanics while coordinating with regional teams and district managers.

Qualifications

• Expertise in identifying, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment across multiple systems.
• Ability to supervise and oversee maintenance operations on all equipment.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
• Experience creating maintenance orders using SAP NetWeaver or SAP Fiori.
• Familiarity with maintaining proper maintenance records.
• Ability to coordinate corrective maintenance and plan resources.
• Inspect and approve repairs prior to production release.
• Fluent English communication.
• Basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes maintenance programs effectively.
• Creates and manages maintenance orders in SAP or SAP Fiori systems.
• Mentors and coaches entry-level and lower-level mechanics during repairs.
• Coordinates and facilitates HSE meetings and training sessions, reporting unsafe acts, conditions, or hazards immediately.
• Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.
• Utilizes competency processes to enhance job performance.
• Leads and presents during meetings with regional teams, operations, and district managers.
• Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned.

• Ensures compliance with DOT regulations through certification and inspection processes.
• Plans and executes maintenance programs effectively.
• Inspects and approves completed repairs.
• Creates and manages maintenance orders in SAP or SAP Fiori systems.
• Mentors and coaches entry-level and lower-level mechanics during repairs.
• Coordinates and facilitates HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) meetings and training sessions, reporting unsafe acts, conditions, or hazards immediately.
• Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
