Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Mechanic A to lead fleet maintenance and mentor junior technicians, ensuring equipment stays in a ready-to-rent state. You will diagnose, repair, and service engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, while producing detailed service logs and adhering to safety standards.

Core duties include precise diagnostics with computer tools, leading by example at the branch, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Own a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet maintenance operations at the branch with preventative maintenance.
• Operate and test equipment to meet quality standards.
• Diagnose and repair engines, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
• Document service reports and repair logs.
• Assist shop lead and mentor Mechanic B/C technicians.
