Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Hazelwood, MO seeks a Lead Systems Engineer (Level 4) to guide system architecture across program IPTs, from initial design through verification, and to refine MBSE practices with the Lead Model Architect.

You will manage requirements, interfaces and behaviors, integrate with other weapon system segments, and ensure traceability while advancing open architecture standards. Travel up to 10% and required US citizenship and security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• 3+ years in MSOSA (Magic Systems of Systems Architecture).
• Experience in system engineering, including architecture, requirements and interface development and allocation, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Guide cross-functional engineering teams in developing the Weapon System Segment architecture to meet program commitments.
• Lead the cross-functional team to define and maintain the Segment’s requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification requirements.
• Leverage systems engineering and MBSE to define, implement, and maintain MBSE for customer digital engineering requirements.
• Integrate the segment with other Weapon System segments.
• Deliver the integrated segment architecture model.
• Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex systems solutions.
• Establish, maintain, and demonstrate traceability between tools within the Digital Engineering Environment.
• Guide the team in implementing open architecture standards.
