KBR is seeking a Lead System Architect in El Segundo, CA to lead MBSE efforts for MILSATCOM programs. You will define the MBSE strategy, maintain model architecture, and ensure traceability from mission needs to verification.

You will coordinate across government and industry teams, manage multi-tool data connectivity (Cameo, DOORS), and ensure architectural quality. This role requires active clearance and advanced MBSE expertise.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering.
• Experience leading MBSE efforts for complex systems.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles across architecture, requirements, interfaces, verification, validation, and configuration management.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex system models using SysML.
• 4 years hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler/MagicDraw or comparable MBSE environments.
• Experience establishing traceability among architecture, requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification information.

Responsabilités

• Lead MBSE activities across the program, providing technical leadership and oversight for system modeling.
• Develop and maintain the MBSE strategy, modeling approach, architecture, governance, and roadmap.
• Define and maintain the overall model architecture, standards, and patterns.
• Create and maintain integrated system models representing architecture, requirements, behaviors, interfaces, and verification relationships.
• Establish and maintain traceability between mission needs, capabilities, architecture, and verification artifacts.
• Coordinate with government organizations, contractors, and stakeholders on modeling data and integration.
• Evaluate contractor models for consistency with program objectives and standards.
• Manage data connectivity between modeling tools and requirements/data environments.
• Collaborate with requirements, interface, and verification teams to ensure coherent modeling.
