Job summary

Mathnasium of Loudonville (operated by Capital Region Math) seeks a Lead Instructor to guide and teach across K-12 math levels, including Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. You will lead sessions, mentor tutors, and ensure productive, engaging classrooms.

The role emphasizes instructional leadership, floor management, and real-time coaching, with a part-time schedule: Mon–Thurs evenings and Saturday shifts. A strong math background and reliable, organized approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong command of K-12 math and algebra through high school topics.
• Prior teaching, tutoring, Mathnasium, or leadership experience preferred.
• Clear verbal communication and ability to coach instructors in real time.
• Ability to manage student flow, sessions, and team needs calmly.
• Reliable and punctual with availability for at least 4 of 5 weekly shifts plus prep time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-floor instruction and model strong teaching habits for the team.
• Manage student flow, seating, pacing, and transitions to keep sessions productive.
• Provide real-time coaching and support to instructors during shifts.
• Monitor learning progress, binders, and accuracy; flag concerns to center leadership.
• Foster a welcoming, professional environment for students and families.
• Support center operations, material prep, organization, and cleaning as needed.
