Capital Region Math is seeking a Lead Instructor for the Clifton Park Mathnasium center. The role combines teaching K-12 math with on-floor leadership, coaching teammates, and ensuring productive sessions.

The position is part-time with evening and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate is passionate about math, has teaching or tutoring experience, and is reliable and organized for a center-based team.

Qualifications

• Strong math knowledge across K-12 including high school topics.
• Experience teaching or tutoring and leading learners.
• Ability to coach instructors and provide real-time guidance.
• Reliable and capable of coordinating with a center team.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional sessions and model effective teaching practices.
• Manage student flow, seating, pacing, and transitions during shifts.
• Provide on-the-spot coaching and support to instructors.
• Monitor student progress and learning plans, flag concerns to leadership.
• Foster a welcoming, professional environment for students and families.
• Assist with center operations, prep, organization, and cleanliness.
