Job summary

The Structures Company, a premier national aerospace staffing firm, seeks a Materials and Processes Engineer in Savannah, GA. The role targets complex engineering projects requiring advanced development and cross-discipline coordination.

You will own major projects, make technical decisions, lead innovation, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams using Smarteam and Catia. A US Person per ITAR and a bachelor's in engineering are required; advanced degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related curriculum or equivalent experience.
• 13 years specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience with Bachelor's.
• Experience credit for related advanced degrees: Masters (2 years), PhD (4 years).
• Experience generating and communicating technical requirements to external suppliers and internal multi-engineering disciplines.
• Experience with Smarteam and Catia for reviewing proposed designs and workflows.
• Experience producing EAR approved test plans and results reports.
• Demonstrated successful manufacturing liaison MRB integration and continuous improvement projects.
• Good understanding of continuous improvement and how it relates to Materials and Processes (M&P).
• Preferred: Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum.

• Leads development of innovative principles and ideas.
• Identifies improved methods to optimize product, cost, and schedule.
• Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
• Plans investigations where precedents are lacking in critical areas.
• Generates and communicates requirements to suppliers and internal disciplines.
• Uses Smarteam and Catia to review designs; prepares EAR test plans and reports.
