Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Materials & Processes Engineer in Savannah, GA to support planning, design, analysis, and liaison activities across aerospace products. You will tackle complex problems, collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers, and help meet quality, performance, schedule, and cost objectives.

The role is full-time onsite with ITAR/EAR considerations and requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of deep discipline experience or 10+ across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a specific technical discipline or 10+ years across multiple disciplines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work with limited supervision.
• Experience applying engineering principles to complex projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of Materials and Processes engineering and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work full-time onsite.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate important engineering projects involving Materials and Processes.
• Provide specialized technical guidance and assistance to engineering team members.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques and theories to solve complex technical problems.
• Develop practical solutions while balancing schedule, cost, quality, and performance objectives.
• Generate and communicate technical requirements to external suppliers and internal engineering disciplines, including Powerplant, Environmental Control, Structures, Electrical, and Mechanical.
• Review proposed designs and engineering workflows using SmarTeam and CATIA.
• Develop and support EAR-approved test plans and results reports.
• Participate in manufacturing liaison activities and Material Review Board (MRB) integration.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a technical liaison with teams and representatives outside the assigned engineering group.
• Stay current on developments in M&P and related aircraft engineering disciplines and recommend innovations that improve product quality and effectiveness.
• Work on engineering projects involving critical problems that require significant technological advances and extensive development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
