Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Materials and Processes Engineer - 3 for our Savannah, GA client on a long-term contract. The role requires expertise in M&P within aerospace, review of designs with Smarteam and Catia, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, MRB liaison, and implementing continuous improvement. Must be a U.S. Person, onsite full-time, with a Bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Five years in a specific technical discipline or ten years across multiple disciplines with a Bachelors.
• Experience with Smarteam and Catia for reviewing designs and workflows.

• Generates and communicates technical requirements to external suppliers and internal multi-engineering disciplines.
• Reviews proposed designs and workflows using Smarteam and Catia.
• Produces EAR approved test plans and results reports.
• Performs manufacturing liaison MRB integration and implements continuous improvement projects.
• Works on engineering projects containing critical problems requiring major technological advances.
• Applies continuous improvement principles related to Materials and Processes.

Summary:

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Five (5) years in specific technical discipline or ten (10) years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.

• Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

• Preferred: Materials and Processes Engineering experience in generating and communicating technical requirements to external suppliers and internal multi-engineering disciplines (Powerplant, Environmental Control, Structures, Electrical, Mechanical).

• Experience with Smarteam and Catia for reviewing proposed designs and workflows.

• Experience producing EAR approved test plans and results reports.

• Demonstrated successful manufacturing liaison MRB integration and implemented continuous improvement projects.

• Good understanding of continuous improvement and how it relates to M&P.

• Candidate must be legally qualified to work on an ITAR project and work onsite full time.
